Seniorthesis

Each student who graduates as an Honors Scholar is required to complete 28 credit hours of HON course work, including a senior thesis project. The senior thesis project may be done in the area of the student’s major or minor, or in any area of interest. The thesis project serves as an opportunity for the student to work on a project for two semesters with the support of a faculty mentor who shares an interest in the chosen subject. The thesis project can take whatever form suits the subject (e.g., a research paper, a creative composition or art work, a performance or recital, among other things). Thesis projects are presented orally to an audience of peers, faculty, and guests at a conference held each April and December. During the fall semester, students working on thesis projects meet once a week in a seminar format.
