A distinctive feature of the Honors Program is that many courses are team-taught by teachers from different disciplines. Such an approach contributes to the integration that is a major part of the program as a whole, and is beneficial to new Honors Program faculty. Most importantly, team-teaching allows students to see how ideas become enriched when approached from two different perspectives. Furthermore, this approach provides for students a necessary model of civilized intellectual interaction, including disagreement. It also makes possible the individualized attention that Honors students seek and need.
