Thursday, November 15 The Musical of Musicals: A Campus Play
The hit of the 2003-2004 off-Broadway season, The Musical of Musicals is really one story made into five hilarious satiric musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form. June, an ingenue who can=t pay her rent, is threatened by her evil landlord, but will she be saved by her handsome leading man in time? This basic plot is musicalized as it might have been done by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sonheim, Jerry Herman, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Kander and Ebb. The EKU Department of Music will again join forces with EKU Theatre to present this Aoutrageous musical spoof.@ You can see the play performed by the EKU theatre on Thursday, November 15th at 8:00 p.m. in the Gifford Theatre in the Campbell Building. Student tickets are normally $6.00 but your cost is $2.00. Sign up and pay your $2.00 to Debra by November 13th to reserve your seat. Dr. Gray will be in the lobby of the Campbell Building by 7:40 p.m. on November 15th to pass out the tickets.
